Antitrust and Trade

We represent clients ranging from multinational corporations to early stage companies in a wide spectrum of antitrust, trade, and anti-competition litigation and regulatory investigations and proceedings related to their U.S. business activities.

Preventing the risk of an inadvertent violation of antitrust and other trade regulations is a principal focus of our commercial and corporate practice. These efforts include the following:

  • Counseling our clients on the legality of distribution and other business arrangements under antitrust and consumer protection laws,
  • Advising our clients on the compliance with the premerger notification requirements under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act, and
  • Crafting and reviewing policy statements and compliance manuals.

Our antitrust litigation practice focuses on claims of monopolization, price discrimination, and violations of the Robinson-Patman Act, including claims related to dealer termination, territorial restraints, price-related restraints, and other restrictive covenants. Our antitrust and trade practice also includes the representation of clients in cases involving unfair competition and trademark infringement claims under the Langham Act.
